El MSC Opera es el segundo barco  inaugurado de una nueva generación de cruceros MSC  con más capacidad en todos los sentidos, el primer barco de similar característica  fue el Lírica y le han seguido el Sinfonia y el Armonia. La compañía  inaugurará  el MSC Música en el 2006, un barco con el doble de tamaño a los nombrados anteriormente.

El opera destaca por ser una barco elegante, con muy buenos accesos a las zonas comunes y con suficiente capacidad para atender a sus casi 2200 huéspedes. Sorprende su  luminosidad, con altos ventanales desde el mismo suelo que permiten la visión al exterior desde numerosos rincones del barco.

En resumen, es un buen barco de 4**** apto para todos los públicos. Muy recomendable

Los precios caros. La atención buena. En esa ruta mayoría de alemanes, bien tratados junto con los italianos; a los españoles tambien nos trataban bien pero tenían sus prioridades. No repetiré compañia

El único problema es que tuvimos 2 días de mal tiempo, de tunez a palma y de Palma a Barcelona y se movió "tela marinera". de todas formas repetiré
